Chief Judge Jorge L. Ortiz of the 19th Judicial Circuit reacted to the news of the passing of long-time Lake County Board Member, Audrey Nixon. Ms. Nixon served the people of Lake County on its Board of Commissioners since 1982.
On April 12th, the William D. Block Memorial Law Library and Center for Self-Representation celebrated National Library Week with an Open House from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm in the law library. Light refreshments and tours were provided.
On April 11, 2017, Chief Judge Jorge L. Ortiz signed the last beam to be placed in the Lake County Courthouse expansion project. The project broke ground in 2016. Completion of the 8-story 200,000 square foot justice center is expected in spring of 2018.
The Chief Judge is authorized to establish a list of qualified financial experts or other professionals in accordance with the provisions and standards set forth in the attached Rule. The list shall be known as the Financial Experts List.
